More Squirty Bertie news. I've been thinking hard about the plot and I've found a crisis point leading to a climax that ties in with the rest of the story. It ties in very well, actually, once you see the second chapter - which I haven't completed yet. Builds up the tension nicely. Those of you who know how the story ends, you might be surprised!

I can see I'm going to have to do a fair bit of research on comatose and brain dead patients to get this to hang together, otherwise the second half is going to be fairly soggy. And I think I can re-use a certain character from Manly Books. I've just discovered his sister, sitting slumped in a chair.

Cool! You'll be like the next Stephen King, with your characters showing up in all sorts of different places. :-)

When we were out on our release frenzy on the weekend, we (MartiP, MrP-the-doc, and czuk had a discussion trying to remember if braindead patients dream- because that's really the definition of brain dead- no brain waves and such. But then, Mr P quipped that some of his brain dead patients dream, but they also walk and talk and come into his office for check-ups...

I finally had the chance to read chapter one this morning and I was really getting into it when the end of the post came rushing up.

More, please. ::grin::

I'm looking forward to chapter two. :-)
