Waiting...

I have a customer coming around to collect a copy of a Lord Dunsany book. I hate waiting for customers. He said he'd come around in the morning and there's only ten minutes of morning left and I've got a ton of things to do outside. Missed my usual Saturday morning trawl through Belconnen opshops because of this bloke, made up for by glorious 4-way chat on AIM.

Sorry about that rejected invitation, G. I didn't read your LJ until later, and thought it might be some sort of IM spam, as I didn't recognise the name.

Having said that, IM does chew up a lot of time, and I'm torn between wanting to spend time with my friends online or do other stuff.

Oh, and in response to your last question on AIM before you got booted off. Sadly, Takehome is no longer on Broadway and 115th. It was there when I went to school, then became "University Food Market" run by the same people who ran "Mama Joy's" on Broadway and 113th St. They're both gone now, and there's a Morton Williams at the corner of B'way and 115th. It is a larger and still cramped supermarket, and apparently the owner is my freshman year next door neighbour in John Jay Hall. Mama Joy's a wonderful deli/market was replaced with "Milano" (I think that's the name), a trendier market.

Good chinese food: Columbia Cottage, Amsterdam and 112th (I think). Good place for an afternoon coffee: Hungarian Pastry Shop, Amsterdam and 111th (or thereabouts)--wear black, bring a dense book :-). Sadly, Moon Palace, a great Chinese restaurant and a long time fixture closed about 10? years ago. They were the best chinese restaurant in the neighbourhood.
