Back into summer

It's been fun. I love travelling and seeing new things. Washington has been a wonderful experience, not least for the people I've met. But the amazing objects in the museums and elsewhere have also been great to see. The Apollo 11 command module, the Declaration of Liberty, Symphony in White, the Wall, JFK's grave.
I arrive in Canberra on Monday afternoon after missing Sunday. That's the extra Friday I had on the way here. Another couple of days of screwed up time zones and body clock.
Oh well. I'll just sign off and pull the plu

Date: 2005-01-31 05:29 am (UTC)I am really really glad that I visited Washington. I could have spent a week just skimming the surface of each of so many wonderful galleries and museums.
And I am indebted to ResQgeek and his family, who took us to a great restaurant where we chatted until they threw us out. Wish I'd been able to give more notice of my trip.
Having said that, I'm now looking forward to London and Fort Worth in April.
