I've been in New York on the Fourth of July. Even early in the morning it was quite stifling. We'll cope, mainly by staying inside the big museums with everyone else.

Not sure about dates yet, but it will be within a week of 4 July, and DD and I will probably be staying at the youth hostel in town. We'll be wanting to maximise our limited time seeing things.

However, I would love to see you and yours. DD would be charmed by your daughters. Once I can work out the dates, I'm happy to shout you dinner somewhere. preferably where they have some fair dinkum American cooking.
