They're back again!
Nov. 26th, 2009 04:06 amRemember back to those days when you hung on the radio, listening to the top 40, waiting for your favorite songs to come around?
For me, those days began somewhere around 1968, when the Beatles were winding down and bubblegum was blowing hard. The last years of primary school and the first of high school. Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue" was a hit, a dangerous hit because it had a rude word in it. Silly songs like "Yummy Yummy Yummy". Deep songs like "Macarthur Park". Songs that made no sense.
Well, all those songs are back again. On iTunes. I'm compiling a new playlist of those long-gone songs form my long-gone youth, and I'm going to play them to death.
Which is hopefully a few decades away yet.
