My laptop says it's four in the morning, but it's ten in the evening here in Chicago. Very sad to leave Texas, after a quick tour of the town and a drive out to DFW.

Plane delayed slightly, long flight but beautiful weather, came into O'Hare and waited nearly an hour at the luggage carousel.

Tzurriz picked me up, we drove home, passing by coyote and deer, and then out again to Maxican restaurant, where we had yummy food.

On return, I was put to work winding a skein of the famous Froebe Fibers yarn. I can see why they are so popular. The colours are delicious - they glow!

And now to bed. After four countries in four days, it's good to be settled for a bit. I'm off touring Chicago tomorrow, and it promises to be a fun day.

Skyring, welcome to our beautiful city, potential host to the 2016 Olympics!

It's too bad you are a tad early for my very favorite architectural boat tour along the Chicago River branches: http://www.architecture.org/tour_view.aspx?TourID=8

If you're interested in Frank Lloyd Wright's Oak Park studio where Walter Burley Griffin met Marion Mahony, http://www.wrightplus.org/homestudio/homestudio.html

And if you travel to the loop to see our beautiful lakefront and Millenium Park, I'll wave at you from the 44th floor of the Aon Center: http://www.greenroofs.org/washington/images/hires/Milleniumproject1.jpg

Have a GREAT time!

Four countries in four days? Are you MAD? Oh yeah - you're a bookcrosser - goes without saying! I'm following your travels with amazement, Skyring. How are you still standing, not to mention typing?

I get a few hours sleep here and there, and of course, I love travel and terminals. I can maybe sleep when I get home.

Is a "Maxican" restaurant an "all you can eat" restaurant? ;-)

I looked the Froebe Fibers up on Google and they are great colours but I do not need more wool.I am spinning a carded fleece that has been dyed red at the moment.Haven't figured what to knit yet.Sounds like you are having a great trip and I am green with envy.

What do you like on your pizza? I'm thinking we might order pizza in Wednesday evening, to make life easier in the midst of our midweek madness...

I like beer with my pizza. As for flavours and toppings, don't worry - Whatever the girls like will be fine!
