A fresh chapter
Sep. 10th, 2009 12:38 pmRecycled dreams, this one.
I had so much fun in New Zealand this year that I wanted to bottle it up and keep it forever. One of the ideas I had was for a new Annuncial story, where she would dodge thugs in Christchurch in a literary mystery and fall in love with fellow BookCrosser Tom.
Ann and Tom weren't in our rental cars on the road trip, but they could have been, wedged in with the real travellers, romance growing in the back seat.
A better romance story than "Manly Books", my ten day novel from 2004. A few fellow BookCrossers contributed ideas. Discoverylover came up with the name Tom, fooling about.
But it never got written. Life got in the way.
I've recycled Ann from my earlier book, and New Zealand and BookCrossing and Tom from the earlier notion.
Sad in a way, but there was none of the steamy romance hinted at here in real life.
Oh yeah. Here's the chapter: http://tinyurl.com/MonashDriveA1
