Back into summer
Jan. 30th, 2005 12:02 amJust making a note before leaving my hotel room. Final cup of tea, last transmission on the freebie wireless internet, last moments in comfort.
It's been fun. I love travelling and seeing new things. Washington has been a wonderful experience, not least for the people I've met. But the amazing objects in the museums and elsewhere have also been great to see. The Apollo 11 command module, the Declaration of Liberty, Symphony in White, the Wall, JFK's grave.
I arrive in Canberra on Monday afternoon after missing Sunday. That's the extra Friday I had on the way here. Another couple of days of screwed up time zones and body clock.
Oh well. I'll just sign off and pull the plu
