Just a quick note.
Arrived in London after a short but pleasant flight from Jersey. Rain rain rain. Ran into Haranne and bought her a bathtub full of cappacino. Had a very merry half hour with her before catching Thameslink to Blackfriars hoofing it up the hill to my hostel and making all speed to the laundry room, where I am currently spending a friggin fortune on wifi while my clothes dry and I register a few books boosted from the swapshelf in preparation for the London meetup.
So much fun to be in London again! You couldn't shift the smile from my dial with anything short of a half-brick.
Oh yeah. The book I released at the American Cemetery on Omaha Beach was found and journalled!

Date: 2006-04-12 07:22 am (UTC)I can thoroughly recommend this one. I haven't stopped smiling since walking back in the door.
Not as close to the West End and stuff as one might wish, but it's in a quiet area and the only sound at night is from St Pauls, literally a stone's throw away.
Good facilities, friendly staff, great beds.
