skyringHot hot hot. Hot and hazy and tinged with smoak from some bushfire. In the middle of the day we got a sudden wind which willie-willied just outside my window, and then it rained upon the baking ground.
Not a pleasant day and we all huddled inside, closing up the house around nine.
I spent much of the day hanging out in WhiteRaven's chat room, watching as 2006 kept on rolling in around the globe. A lot of fun. This is the second time I've hung out there.
DS found his Christmas MP3 player too daunting and swapped it for the little blue football that he is used to. Now I've got to install that software on my computer and re-record three disks full of audio book in time for my morning run. Oh well. It's a nicer device, and I'll ensure he knows he can swap it over at any time.
Went out about eight o'clock to buy some milk - normal deliveries not resuming until Tuesday, and found just about everything shut. Bought some at a 24hour servo in Braddon, along with some awesomely overpriced ice cream which was sorely needed by those languishing at home.
Must get up early and listen to JimOn.
