Pete's Mail
Dec. 27th, 2005 10:42 pmNice big pile of mail. Physical mail, that is.
Here's what was waiting, in no particular order.
Advice from Australia Post that a package is awaiting collection.
Christmas card from Heather Macdonald in Canada, with an appropriate aerial theme, which I appreciated.
Ditto from TexasWren, with a lovely pair of Texas boots to remind me of a wonderful trip in April
A very glittery card from Dawni, who is perhaps my oldest LJ buddy. I'll dig out all the sparkles from my keyboard when I get a chance... Or maybe not - having a festive reminder winking up at me as I type is a cheerful addition to my day!
Microsoft sent me a trial version of Digital Image Suite 2006
Genevieeve from BBC Radio Shropshire sent me a CD which I won on-air for being a good Googler, plus a bonus CD and a photograph of herself.
A lovely chunky package from Heather,Bruce and Ron - a different Heather, containing a card full of sentiments which I totally don't deserve, but goes to show how sweet Heather is - two books, both signed by the authors, one of which is "The Log Home Plan Book", co-authored by Heather Mehra Pedersen, a card, and the most gorgeous pair of handmade Indian puppets.
I'll have to find time and space to put a picture up of all my Christmas goodies, but I am just so overwhelmed by the cards, gifts and wishes that my heart is singing and jumping for joy!
Thank you over and over, everyone!
And thanks to Jenny Kendall-Tobias from Guernsey, who read out an email from me to the assembled masses of that Channel Island, where I described my blazing hot antipodean Christmas.
