Nude BookCrossers
Dec. 23rd, 2005 06:30 amYoko got me thinking, with her tales of nude cabbies and their fund-raising calendars. Gingerbread men aside. And I tried out a few poses while having a shower this morning.
"I could do this," I thought, as I admired my glistening body.
But what to use to shield my masculinity? My first thought was for a strategic piece of shrubbery, but I'm planning on doing this outside, and getting everything just right might take a bit of setting up, especially as I plan on doing it myself on timer, and rushing back to the camera to check my pose isn't an option. Then I thought about my BookCrossing totebag. But that might be overkill.
And then later on, I thought of a new wrinkle. I have so got to do this!!
Of course, it will have to wait until I get home. And there's a dark night. And I find the right location.
Caught up with my email this morning. I somehow managed to get three copies of a 4.5 Meg email containing grainy pictures of Mum's bathroom renovation.
Dunno what's stopping me from logging on to eBay, my bank accounts, and everything that requires a password dialogue. Pain in the bum.
But I managed to skim through LJ, refraining from clicking anything that looked like it might be more than 500 bytes.
DS and FIL came back from fishing with a handful of whiting, which they cooked up for breakfast with every ounce of pride they could cram in.
Later on I took the car in for an air conditioning service. It's stopped working whenever the temperature gets above freezing, and Kerri isn't happy about this. An hour or so, and I spent most of that catching up at an internet cafe with working password dialogues.
"Bad news," crooned the aircon guy over the phone. "We'll need your car for two weeks, and you may have to sell your house."
Well, not quite. We'll be able to keep the house, and they only want the car overnight. But we'll be able to keep our cool.
Another walk along the beach this evening, same route as before except we took DD with us, and we all scampered and skipped along the sands. Such fun, just the four of us together!
