OK, it was half past one in the morning, but still...
Looking increasingly difficult to finish. And my demon wife throws yet more demands on my time. Why oh why did we have to get married in the last week of NaNoWriMo? 22 years ago.
A fun Friday update, having a wonderful time on the forums as we all listened to BBC Shropshire online. All except elhamisabel who was able to surf but not hear, her archaic library computer unable to cope with the modern age. I got the feeling she spent most of the update screaming with frustration.
She skyped me this morning and complained about this, also solving a year old mystery. She was my Secret Santa of a year ago, buying me a copy of Mansfield Park, which arrived as a pleasant surprise but no indication of provenance beside the name of a large Australian bookchain.
I tried to pretend that it came from Annuncial, but I was quite in the dark until this morning. Thank'ee kindly, Elhamisabel!
And she inspired me to skype Sunneschi in Switzerland, so I had two very pleasant calls one after the other, and Sunneschi came up with an idea for a world trip which would force me to stop and visit her. I won't say what it is, because it is such a wonderful idea that I'm afraid that someone else will do it ahead of me, and I'm booked up until mid 2007 with themed trips.
Of which I have to write up my London Monopoly trip sharpish, so that it can be launched in Toronto next year.
Yikes! Why do I do these things to myself?
