skyringKerri was reading Harry Potter and I was into chick-lit. I had to wipe away tears of laughter at one stage. Rosie the cat, who was snuggled up between us complained about having her sleep interrupted.

I need a stronger weapon to deal with Indian Mynahs. These "rats with wings" are returning in strength now that the batteries in my laser pointer are running out. I can't just get up and shoo them away, because they take care to visit the ground under the bird feeder when other birds are there, and if I shoo away the mynahs, the gorgeous parrots take fright. Hence the need for a pinpoint weapon.
I really want something stong enough to vaporise the hateful things, but annoying them with laser beams is something I'll settle for.
