I'll continue the Brisbane story later - I've made some notes here and there - but I'm back home and catching up with real life before I get back to my pleasures. Not that my real life is unpleasant, but it must come first.

Sorry I couldn't upload any pictures. The hostel's Internet machines didn't allow this, as I discovered when I stuck my thumb in, and I couldn't plug in my laptop. Pix will be uploaded to my Photobucket account and then here, when I get a moment. I also found that, unlike Outlook, my webmail site wouldn't post a response to an LJ comment, so a few went missing. If you are waiting on a response from me, well, it was terribly witty and full of warmth and contained an astounding play on words.

Apart from the anonymous Wikipedian who left a grumpy message which I decided not to approve. To that person all I can say is that the penny hasn't dropped for you, quit doing original research and check out my sources. The personal opinions of editors don't matter, no matter how right you think you are. And no matter how much you stamp your feet and wave your hands and try to convert me to your way of thinking, it's all wasted effort because it's not going to change the opinions of the constitutional experts I quote.

Kerri has come down with chilblains and is nursing her hands lest she spend all winter in pain. DD is off prac teaching and enjoying it immensely. She works on lesson plans at might and prints them off in the morning goes off with a smile on her face and then comes back and tells me how it went. She is so full of enthusiasm for teaching!

DS is doing a week of work experience at a department store. He's had to get dressed up in clobber he normally wouldn't touch - including a tie - and was more than a little nervous on this his first day. I dropped off Kerri at work and then walked in with DS, delivered him to his section manager, who is a lovely motherly lady and set him right at ease, and got the details of when to pick him up.

And now, as soon as I finish my coffee here, I'll get over to FedEx and see about shipping my journal to Birmingham. That's real life, is it? Well...
