Mar. 7th, 2005 09:22 pmMy London Travelpass arrived today. I think that's the last bit of planning and preparation, apart from packing. And registering a bunch of books, of course.
Finished off my first painting today. I thickened up the question mark and it's a lot more recognisable now.
Wasted half the day gridding up my canvas before realising that the scale I'd chosen was too small. Had to discard that one and measure up a second with a bit more room. Bummer. Oh well, I got to use the spoilt one as a bit of a test bed. Finished up the central area and have most of the central border done. The surrounds are going to take a couple of hours, but it should be done tomorrow morning.
My order from Read Street Books arrived today. Couple of cheap DVDs and a couple of books. I'm watching Dr Strangelove at the moment - not bad for seven bucks.

Date: 2005-03-07 06:55 pm (UTC)But it's no competition, just a display. Nerve-wracking enough, and there's the added worry that they might not sell. I've had to set a price on them. Laughably low or ridiculously high? I really don't know.
