Bored Stiff

skyringWell, no, quite the reverse actually. In an incredible injustice, I received Stiff in a bookring today and have jumped it ahead of the vast line-up of books awaiting my reading attention. You wouldn't think that a book about corpses could be so funny, but there it is. DD and I are battling each other to read it. Kerri, more used to carcasses than either of us, is appalled at the guffaws and snorts.
I'm about two thirds of the way through G is for Gumshoe in the Sue Grafton alphabet series, which I shall then pack up and send on.
And I'm working my way through the backlog of book orders from ABE, Alibris, Biblioz and Amazon. Sold a $US65 book yesterday - one I got as a freebie from Folio. Lucretius' On the Nature of Things. Mind you, Alibris took 20% off the top and though it's a Reply Paid deal, I've still got to pay for packaging, but still I could do with more gravy like that.
Posted off my application for The Secret Project today. I've now got four weeks to come up with the goods and deliver them. While working on my books.
