If I have time, I like to do small watercolour sketches on the backs of the padded envelopes in which I ship books off to my customers. One recent order was for "The Psychology of Sex" and I scratched around trying to think of something that wouldn't be too rude for the post office. Here's a version of that sketch.
You definitely did a first job the first time around. I have a gender/sexuality themed personal collection at home, and it seems like a very fitting image. :)
Actually, it would also make an interesting tattoo. How would you feel if I saved the image to have permanently inked one day? I'd even send you a piccy. :)
I'm going to take that as a cheery snort and not a derisive one. ;) I'm planning on getting a new tat this year, so if I do that one, I'll post a pic. :)
Castaway was a Tom Hanks movie from a couple of years ago. He played a FedEx employee stranded on a deserted island in the Pacific for two years. One of the FedEx packages had hand-painted artwork on it, which played a role in the ending of the movie.
When I read that you were placing original watercolor paintings on your packages, I had to wonder if you were inspired by the movie, but by your response I'd say not!
Yeah, I remember the movie. Cast Away. Wasn't too sure of the relevance. I thought that the little visual pun I'd used had been done before and in a format that had been seen by millions.

Sex on the mind
I've since thought of a refinement or two, but the simplest is often the best.

It was just something I dreamt up.
