Far too much fun looking back
I'm having far too much fun blogging. Far too much fun and not enough time to do it in.
I've begun a blog for the reunion of my old Sunnybank State High School class at http://sunnybank74.com and the latest post deals with my first day at school. I'm also listing the top songs for each week, and selecting one or two for "Pete's Jukebox". Thanks to Amazon for providing links to cheap downloads of most of the songs, and to YouTube for videos of most of the rest. And to Stock Exchange for generic free photographs.

I really just like the chance to write about myself. However, I am finding unexpected insights along the way.
But half the fun is using WordPress. Such a superb blogging environment! There are tools to make life easy for the serious blogger, and themes to dress it up, and any number of widgets and gizmos and plugins to trick it out and pump it up and button it down.
Honestly, I've barely scraped the surface of what I could do! I really like the way WordPress is all linked together, thoughtfully and consistently. It's not just a page to enter text, it's a whole environment. It's a new home.
Having said that, I'll continue to use Livejournal for the community of friends I've built up. I love reading about what people are doing and what they are thinking about it.
