The monster...

For about a month I've been uploading "Monster that Ate Constitution Avenue" chapters to a dedicated blog, the intention being to have a "published" edition, as opposed the the draft chapters I upload to my own site, which are often modified significantly after they first appear. I've cut text, changed character names, added material and so on.

I sent a link to the Canberra Times, but they didn't run with the exciting story of a serial novel about Canberra being written right under their noses. In real time!

And of course, my recent trip overseas really put a dent in the progress. In a perfect world, I would have plotted out, written and uploaded a thousand word chapter each day. in fact, I had enough of a buffer that I could have kept on updating the new blog and still returned home with a chapter or two in hand. But I was having too much fun and not enough spare time and internet to do this. The usual problem with travel. Bottom line - I'd rather have fun enjoying myself overseas with good friends than just about any other activity.

Yesterday I uploaded a story to RiotACT, which is a kind of public frenzy Canberra blog. My page views have shot through the roof! I'm hoping word of mouth will kick in and I'll get a devoted fan base.

Now, i just have to start writing chapters again...
