I'm back on deck writing chapters. Posted a fresh one this morning, after spending the past week basically rejigging the existing sequence and expanding a chapter I called "Week link".

Yeah, I know that a serial novel should stay as originally published, but honestly, i don't think i have that many readers. Yet. The thing should be presented in its best possible light, be self-consistent, hang together, be nicely paced and so on.

Alexander McCall Smith, contemporary champion of the artform, wrote his chapters a week or so in advance. He could fiddle around with them before putting them up for public display. And once they are published in a newspaper, well you just can't go back and change them!

But your humble procrastinator, always doing things at the last moment if he can't put them off to the next day, is posting them for the public as they are written.

Looking at my last post, I think I said a bit more than i meant to. for purposes of pacing, some of this stuff belongs in a later episode, otherwise the thing will peak too soon.

I'll be revising it soon, but if anyone is interested, http://www.skyring.com.au/Skyring/Monash_Drive/Entries/2009/9/28_11._Private_chats.html

In other news, the North Canberra community council wants me to write an article about the project for their website.

How exciting that the Community Council want you to write an article!

I've been reading, though I'm only up to "Kim's Game". For the first few chapters I was just confused but it's coming together now.
I'm sure it's a much different read for anyone from Canberra (or anyone who's been there)
I laughed aloud at the "Sister Hazel" reference!

And a few Q's (just cause I'm confused and have missed a lot recently)
Is this something like nanowrimo? Or just something you decided to do?
Are you going to the uncon or not?
And lastly whats the link to the bcexchange??

Hmm I went to youtube thinking I really must see what Sister Hazels music is like, I've never heard any.

But of course (as often happens) I DO know some of their songs, and "All for you" I know very well.
Of course this is why I'm so crap at trivia nights!

Oh and my music reccomendation is "Arcade Fire".

I particularly like "Keep the Car Running".
I like their use of the HurdyGurdy. They may become more well known in the next few months as one of their songs is being used for the trailer of "Where the wild things are"

Sorry for cluttering your post with lots of replies.
But just had to share the freakyness of this.

So much for me not knowing any SH songs! When I was bridesmaid a few weeks back, the song the bridal party walked down the aisle to was....
"This kind of love" by Sister Hazel!
When we were at the rehearsal I meant to ask Anneke who the song was by, but I forgot.
So isn't that bizarre.

Wombles, you are no kind of clutter at all! You are a delightful addition to any blogscape.

"This Kind of Love" is a particular favorite of mine. Romantic fool, me!

No, not a NaNoWriMo - I just thought I'd do it.
