Tea time

I'm a teabag man. Always have been. For convenience and cleanliness, you can't beat a tea bag. Besides, I'm usually making tea for one, given my odd hours.

Kerri dabbled in leaf tea a while back. She likes it. I even got her a little tealeaf infuser thingie, bought at the marvellous National Building Museum shop. It has flanges that fit over the rim of a cup or mug, you spoon the tealeaves in, pour in boiling water, and when it's the right strenght, lift it out carefully and place it in its own little stand. Great design!

She switched over to Earl Grey a while back, so we had most of a pack of normal leaf tea in the cupboard. Rather than waste it, I've been making my way through it, using the infuser, trying to use it up so I can get to the pack of teabags also sitting unopened in the cupboard.

The end is in sight - only a few cups left.

Yesterday Kerri did the shopping, buying my favorite breakfast cereal, bless her heart. We ran out and I bought an emergency packet on Friday night. So now we have two packs.

She also bought a new packet of leaf tea, "because you've been really going through it lately." Aaarrrghh!

Hehe - that's pretty cute. But leaf tea is great. It tastes so much nicer. Here is how to make it nice and easy. Put the tealeaves straight into your mug, and when you've poured the boiling water on, the tea leaves sink to the bottom, so they don't get in your way when you drink the tea. When you've finished the mug, flush the tea leaves down the loo. Very easy. You don't need an infuser - that's too much bother. You can do it in a teapot too, even when making tea for one, and that way you get several cups of tea.

Did I ever tell you how much I love you?

Well, I do. You are thoughtful, caring, beautiful, and you have a delightful smile. What's not to love?

Sorry, Pete. I'm a tealeaf girl all the way. Although, having said that, teabags have some good advantages. If I'm looking for a really strong cup of tea I'll use teabags. Particularly those ones the Countess brought back from Buckingham Palace. I swear you could stand a teaspoon up in it.

Happy drinking! :D

If it hasn't been opened yet, you could return it. :)
