Far too busy to post much. Paris to London to Washington was three countries in a day. Washington and Gettysburg was old friends and new ones, new sights and places. Short flight to JFK, where we checked into the Waldorf, and have worn our feet to bloody stumps in Central Park, Times Square, Staten Island, Battery Park and other places.

Tomorrow it's a long flight to Hong Kong and then another to Sydney, where I get to meet up with the rest of my family. Will be soooo good to put my feet up for a bit!

Now, just going to look at MOMA for a bit and then a Mets game at Shea Stadium.

Talked about you and your travels at dinner tonight. We were trying to think of a travel partner for my MIL, and somehow we both thought of you, probably because you were just here. We really need to find her a travel partner, though, so she doesn't feel the need to tag along with us all the time...

Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet this time. Glad to hear you're having a good time. You were right by my office (across the street from the ferry terminal and park), but I wasn't there today.

I was remarking to DD that this was the first time I'd taken the Staten Island Ferry without a certified local guide to stop me and/or Ringbear from falling overboard. We managed to find our way around without too many disasters!

Grateful for your company on past trips. More than grateful. DD didn't like Paris, but she's talking about coming back to the Big Apple. Such an exciting, colourful, lively city!

I used to work at the Waldorf! Make sure and sneak up to the Starlight Roof and if no one's around, head through the exits out onto the roof top for the best ever view of the Empire State Building.
