My BookCrossing friend, Texaswren, is donating her blue ribbon award winning craft horse at auction to raise funds for the Victorian bushfires.

I've probably gone as high as I can afford. I've donated $100 to the RSPCA appeal, so anything the winning bidder bids is gravy.

I really really love Wren's horse, but as it stands, it's headed for Lilly, and she'll love it.

I was actually going to give it, if I won it, to a young lady I know, but maybe Wren will make another.

You really must meet Texaswren. She is an absolute darling. I love her madly. She has a heart as big as Texas, and a smile that would give you a run for your money! One way or another we'll get her to Kansas City.

I DESPERATELY want to meet TW - if I can wrangle it - some things look like they might have fallen through - so I might be able to swing back down to Texas - or if we could get her to KC that would be FREAKING AWESOME! Let me know if you need me to do something to help out with that!
