In Paris on Tuesday...

The museums and galleries all seem to be closed. So today is going to be a repeat of out intentions to visit Musee de Moyen Age et Musee du Louvre. Other than that we visited a supermarkt and Le Petit Palias and did a lot of walking around.

We also got to attend a concert of Gregorian chants in Notre Dame, which was special.

Paris museums love to close when they feel like it! I once went to the Louvre on a day when the staff staged a wildcat strike. So the doors were locked but nobody thought it a good idea to post any kind of notice to visitors explaining the situation. So there were thousands of tourists circling the building wondering if they had somehow missed the right entrance...

A suggestion: the Arab World Institute is a little gem - interesting architecture, and from its terrace in the top floor you have stunning views of the back of Notre Dame. Plus they have great teas and a reasonable lunch menu.

Last saturday night I went out for dinner with some friends,we passed a church at Kedron which had a sign up announcing their Gregorian Chant workshop, 2 seconds up the road 2 of us say at the same time "I know what I'm doing next Tuesday night"!

May I suggest Musee Jacquemart-Andre, 158 Bvde Haussmann 75008.
This museum is known for its fine collection of Italian Renaissance and French 18th century works of art. Well worth a visit.
Sometime please I'd like details of the place where you are staying.

Keep up the writing please.
Hugs to you both.

FC & O already on their way now.
