A romantic fool
Nov. 3rd, 2007 02:55 pmMoon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
Never knew Moon River had a third verse, did you?
Well, it does, and I wrote it:
True lovers, dreaming through the day,
Mooning hours away, so fast.
We're finding our own seas and skies
In each other's eyes, with each new sunrise.
Together, at last.
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
Never knew Moon River had a third verse, did you?
Well, it does, and I wrote it:
True lovers, dreaming through the day,
Mooning hours away, so fast.
We're finding our own seas and skies
In each other's eyes, with each new sunrise.
Together, at last.
