Well, in my own way. I spotted that the "Shane Malone" Wikipedia article had no photograph of this author, so I uploaded one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shane_Maloney

Oh yeah. Thanks to all those who supported my picture of Sheila Gallagher to be a featured London portal image. That was a month-long triumph. I'm hoping to meet her again in April.

I'll be paying for the cruise and flights in a day or so, and organising ferries and car hire and hotels myself for the Portsmouth-Guernsey-France-London leg. Current plans are to get to London on 11 April, which gives me a few days to explore the UK before the convention.

Cool! I am stoked on your behalf re planning your convention trip. It sounds like it will be an awesome experience.

I haven't been terribly engaged with BC goings on lately. Have the details about the 2008 convention been announced? I'm anxious to start making some plans.

I know lots of folk read your posts so this is a good place to ask who is organising the UK convention and when are they going to start posting about it.
Skyring, I am so envious and today I looked at adverts for cheap fares to London. Dare I?

Very cool photo of Shane Maloney there - I can imagine people looking at it and going "What's the bear doing there?!"

I love hearing about your trips, always good to have holidays to look forward to. Next year I've got Brisbane and a trip up the North Island to look forward to. Not a trip to the UK but still exciting.

After I read your post last night I checked the convention forum and discovered that they have picked a venue. I can't remember the name, but it is in South Kensington, near the V&A, Natural History Museum etc. They are still working on hotels.
