I could write a book about my weekend in Frankfurt, and every page, every word would be full of joy.

Even if it had been raining and cold, I would have been happy with my friends, but every moment was perfect, clear spring day. Even the nights.

In all the world, there are few like Elhamisabel. So thoughtful, sweet, romantic, knowledgeable, multilingual, patient, organised, artistic and adorable. BookCrossers are wonderful people, but Elham shines out.

So very good to see her waiting at the airport gate for me. I hugged her until she began to squeak, saying that it was very nice, but the second hour wasn't as good as the first. I can take a hint, so I reluctantly let her go.

I needed a guide - Frankfurt airport is a big place and maybe bits of it had been laid out by Italians rather than Germans - but with Elham leading the way, we selected my favorite luggage trolley and found the train.

Ooops, they've just called my flight to Texas, before I properly get started on this entry.

Big news is that I've scored an upgrade to First. And I still have a window seat!

More later, with pictures.

Yes, Elham does quite a lot of shining out! I didn't know she was romantic, though...

Glad you had a good time in Frankfurt! I tend to get confused too on the geography of FRA airport (last time, though, I downloaded detailed descriptions from their website and took the shuttle bus instead of walking :-) ).
First class? Luxury! But definitely the right thing for a transatlantic flight.

Actually I'd like to know about that too. Cause I detected nothing romantic whatsoever!

Romantic in terms of looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses, I guess. There was no hanky-panky going on!

I won't be able to meet you at the gate, (the stupid regulations) and will instead meet you at the base of the escalators. Don't worry -- Just follow the herd and then I'll find you. Midway isn't that big of an airport. :)
