On a Pointe, not a Pont, this time. Pointe du Hoc, a key point on the D-Day battlefield, nowadays a moonscape of craters from the massive bombardment of sixty years back.

Thanks for the brief glimpse of the invasion zone. My mind and imagination have been living in WWII of late, what with the work on my uncle's book. Normandy is on the long list of place I must visit one day...I might have to do a WWII tour of Europe.
