So annoyed at Google Wave. It's a monster of a thing, packed with goodies and awesome to use, but a huge resource hog. Fired it up on Saturday afternoon to get something done with a co-writer, and it just slowed everything down immensely. Quit out of everything else running - and of course it took ages for every other application to close - and it was still only marginal. It used to run fine. Maybe Google has loaded it down with more stuff.
Or maybe my disk needs defragging. Snow Leopard apparently does that automatically.
Anyway, it was very frustrating, especially when I was tired and needed a nap. My darling little Mac Air isn't as capable as other models. In fact it's probably the slowest and least storage of any Mac on the market.
The morning was spent at the other ACCC (in Barton) where the head of the School of Practical Philosophy gave a presentation on Eckhardt Tolle. Good to see fellow students and tutors, have a cup of tea, do some more deep thinking.
In the evening Kerri and I went out to fill up the Golf, run it through the car wash, vacuum it out. Bought a couple of pear ciders at the grog shop and had them with ice on the deck. A bit too chilly to stay out. Summer has definitely gone!
After dinner - roast lamb, ratatouille and peas - I watched a soppy romantic comedy on TV. Music and Lyrics
with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Pretty corny, but anything with Hugh Grant is worth watching.
