Well. That's done. Tax documents are now in the safe hands of the accountant, rather than my own disorganised procrastinating digits.

I can get back to the main game now: blogging about my boring life.

Let's see.
Christmas, we drove up to Gosford, spent a lovely day with my sister and her family, and my mother down from Rockhampton.

Boxing Day, I had a lazy holiday at home.

27 December, I picked up Ken Haley, drove him down to Melbourne, and had a delightful three days staying at his mother's home.

New Years Day, and I resumed work.

It's been slow. Many of our regular customers are on holiday and cabbies pile up on the ranks, complaining to each other.

It's been hot. Up over 35 degrees most days. I'm glad I work in an airconditioned office.

Last weekend, we slaved away under a burning sun to take a lot of rubbish to the dump. Hired a trailer and filled it up with the results of Kerri's purging of my office. Then we took a load of garden rubbish to the organic recycling station. Then, as we were loading up the trailer with the final load, of junk I've been stashing under the house for years, I discovered that my iPhone was missing. My beloved Crumpler holder has been gradually losing the sticky on its velcro and works itself loose. I had a quick look around, and then we drove back to the dump, found our pile of garden rubbish, and spent half an hour poking around.

Kerri kept ringing my phone, and swearing that she coiuld hear it ringing faintly. We kept digging around, getting hotter by the moment, dust and pollen attacking our breath. Couldn't find it. Got home, all but wasted out, found my phone sitting on the front seat of one of our cars, which I'd moved a metre or two to give me space to back the trailer in.

I've been learning to play the ocarina, or at least the iPhone incarnation. I'm rubbish, but i can crank out a recognisable tune.

Decluttering continues in fits and starts. Getting the tax out of the way is a start.

There was a problem with iWeb and I had to restore some posts on my site by backing up via Time Machine to a version which wasn't corrupted.

Been slack on posting generally. Will rectify.
