OK. Just got back from the camping shop with two purchases. First is a plastic insulated mug in plastic. Bright Bookcrossing yellow. I may well decorate it with a little running book.

Holds a decent amount of tea or coffee and is comfortable to drink from. It's also sort of short and wide rather than tall and elegant (and easily knocked over). This thing won't break, nor does it weigh much. It comes with a builtin coffee plunger, which is a brilliant design - you'd hardly know it was there at all, and it makes a good cup of coffee.

Second purchase wasn't a mug, but an immersion element that boils a single cup at a time. Takes about three minutes on 240 volts, longer on 110v. I've just tested the whole set up, and apart from taking about five minutes what with boiling and brewing and plunging, it works well.
