Last night I was listening to Jenny Kendall-Tobias on BBC Radio Guernsey. She's had a couple of fantastic show recently, and this one was a ripper. She was interviewing a celebrity chef, who was interested in exploring the edge of the BBC's good taste envelope. He did so in the funniest possible way, and Jenny who loves a laugh was following along nicely. Really, it was all laughing, including me at home.

At one stage the chef was talking about kangaroo meat, and I sent in an email to Jenny saying how awful it was that someone should barbecue the national emblem. She read it out, and a few minutes later along comes an email from "Andy in Alexandria" pointing out that when he'd visited in Sydney this time last year we had eaten kangaroo and emu pizza.

Hmmmm. What you might call an unfortunately reliable memory!

LOL! I couldn't help myself...I just HAD to let her know you were pulling her leg. I wanted to follow up to your bald eagle comment, but was deep into some issues at work, and ran out of show before I could get a message composed...

Why would I do that? I'm becoming increasingly folicly challenged myself!

Your follow up message to JKT mentioned us taking you out for dinner when you were here in DC, and you indicated that there was no bald eagle on the menu. I wanted to say something about our national emblem being protected by law, but never got a chance.

When Hubby ad I went out for ice cream last weekend, the guy behind the counter had a funny button pinned to his apron which said, "God made a few perfect heads, and the rest he covered with hair"

LOL!

Actually, there are enough bald men around that I don't feel too bad about losing my hair. I'd rather have it, of course, but it's not as if I'm the unique freak with no hair.

and the last thing I'd want to do is have a combover or a rug or something equally fake.

I just make sure I wear a cap when I'm outside.
