Nerves

As usual, I've left everything to the last minute. Still got a tonne of stuff to pack and clear away before I go. Nervous and cranky these last couple of days.

This one's going to be a bit harder than last time. On the way out I've got four flights: 24:25 hours of flying and 9:55 in transit. The way back is 6 flights: 34:20 flying and 26:15 in between. That's a long time to be dependent on what I can carry on. At least I'll have access to lounges and showers in between flights.

I get into Frankfurt at 0600 28 June (Wednesday) and leave at 1145. That's maybe enough time to get into town and have a poke around for a couple of hours. Or maybe I should just lounge about in the lounge and catch up with the internet. I'll tuck a couple of packets of TimTams in my carry on, just in case.

Ooops. Forgot to post the above before I left. I'm now in the Cathay Pacific lounge in Melbourne, having had a pleasant flight from Canberra. I'm releasing a book here.

Looking forward to a great flight. I've got a good window seat, and Cathay Pacific service is legendary.

Lucky you! :)
Don't think I could stand that much flying, I got bored stupid in the 4 hours over to NZ!
Still- I Wish I was coming to the unconvention! Give Sherlockfan a hug for me!

You may count on it!

It's a nine hour daylight flight followed by 13 hours overnight to Frankfurt. I'm hoping to get a shower in Hong Kong.

I won't be bored. I'll watch a few movies, do some writing, have a bit of tucker, have a great time watching Oz and South East Asia slide past.

The only problem is that I'll be looking into the sunset for a lot of the time. 8^(

Overnight isn't so bad I guess, you can try to get some sleep. I watched a movie on the way back from NZ, I seem to spend most of the time looking at the ocean anyway :) Trying to spot ships or whales.

Yeah, I'm usually doing the same if I have a lot of ocean. But I should have a lot of Indonesia and stuff to look at. The night flight to Frankfurt will be dark, but I'll be needing some sleep around then.
