skyringI'm signed up for an all day Microsoft Security seminar, followed by an evening MSDN session. 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. A long day for someone feeling crook from a cold.
Had a miserable day yesterday, quite unable to get any rest. Missed out on my early morning walk, made up for it by taking it in the afternoon before dinner. Took the dog with me and met my son walking back from school. Quite late - he must be spending time after school with his "harem". Let the dog go free when I saw him, and she bounded happily up to him, displaying a love she never gives me. ***SIGH***
I let him take the dog back home and strode on in the declining sunlight. Snow on the Brindabellas, I noticed as I turned into Anzac Parade. Just a light dusting on the higher slopes - must have fallen a couple of days ago when it was raining down here. Quite dark and cold by the time I got home, but I was sweating into my new Thinsulate watch cap. Perhaps it's a little too well insulated. Very comfortable and warm, though.
Slept reasonably well last night. Might rock up for the whole thing, maybe miss out on one of the sessions and report back for the developer stuff in the evening. Wouldn't you know it, the most interesting session is reight at the end, where they talk about ASP.NET 2005.
Always a few goodies in the giveaway bags and a chance to win something. plus they'll be supplying lunch and dinner and coffee throughout. I'm a sucker for freebies!
Market zooming up. That bad trade I made a couple of weeks back isn't quite so bad now and may yet turn out well. Still down a thousand or so on what I would have made if I'd hung off for a week, though I'm well into profit territory now. Leightons up as well. Those 3 000 shares I bought a month or so back are up a dollar or more.
Better get my arse into gear if I'm to register a few books and pack up a few orders before I walk into town for the signup. Only got an hour left.
