Another dawn
Apr. 15th, 2006 06:18 amHow I came to be in Frankfurt via Welshpool is another story, but I'd like to pay special credit to the young cabbie from Amber Cabs who got me to the airport with time to spare. Not much time, but that certainly wasn't his fault!
ElhamIsabel was there at the gate to meet me and I have rarely been more pleased to see a friendly face!
We had a quick tour of Frankfurt and the German language via my hostel, called the Frankensteiner Place, before meeting with about a dozen locals, books and hugs exchanged, Tim Tams slammed, and then off to my hostel.
I'll post more detailed updates soon, I promise! I should have time on the flight over the Atlantic to tell more of the story.
I am having a marvellous time all round, and it is the smiles and good wishes that have me skipping along der strasse mit ein grosse smile.
