Another dawn

How I came to be in Frankfurt via Welshpool is another story, but I'd like to pay special credit to the young cabbie from Amber Cabs who got me to the airport with time to spare. Not much time,but that certainly wasn't his fault!

ElhamIsabel was there at the gate to meet me and I have rarely been more pleased to see a friendly face!

We had a quick tour of Frankfurt and the German language via my hostel, called the Frankensteiner Place, before meeting with about a dozen locals, books and hugs exchanged, Tim Tams slammed, and then off to my hostel.

I'll post more detailed updates soon, I promise! I should have time on the flight over the Atlantic to tell more of the story.

I am having a marvellous time all round, and it is the smiles and good wishes that have me skipping along der strasse mit ein grosse smile.

Well, it wasn't called Frankensteiner Place. At least not the hostel itself. That was called "Haus der Jugend" (House of the youth") and was situated at the Deutscherrnufer *next to* the Frankensteiner Square. ;-)
But let's have our Australian friend believe it is called Frankensteiner Place. ;-))

Glad you made it to the airport without any hassle. To be honest, I was worried you might end in Zurich or Hamburg. Not that these are bad places, far from it! But I think Amy wouldn't be too pleased to not see you arrive in good time. :-)

I'm so embarrassed. You went to such trouble to get me on the right track, and at Shrewsbury I got on the wrong train. I still don't know how it happened. So far as I could see I was on the right train at the right time, but when it went west instead of east, I knew I was in serious trouble!

My fault entirely!
