Sydney International, preflight

skyringMy bus was set to leave at four in the morning. Alarm set for three. I was mostly packed, just wanting a shower, throw in the final few things and head off.
After Woosang's wedding the previous evening, I worked on my computer until well past nine, scoring a mention on BBBC* Guernsey with ResQgeek. Rolled into bed, tired but happy, maybe a quarter to one. Just a couple of hours sleep...
Zzzzzzzzzz....
F F F!
I looked at the time. 0356. My bus left in four minutes! How could this have happened?
S S S! said Kerri. I turned the alarm down!
So the alarm had dutifully gone off. Silently. Dear Kerri had adjusted it a day or two back and neglected to set it back. Or tell me.
B B B!
Oh well. These things happen. Plan B. Take the B car to Sydney, long term parking. I'd leave the troops down a car, but short of someone driving me to Sydney or back before work or school, no option.
I'll gloss over the ridiculous 2.5 hour checkin requirement, the increasingly heavy traffic on the outskirts of Sydney and the sudden discovery that the bus to the International terminal stopped running from the long term car park last December.
Suffice to say I got through, I'm now waiting to board and I'm about to take a couple of headache tablets!
