Listening to Jenny Kendall-Tobias, who is my evening entertainment on a weekday. Her guest is a writer and they are discussing haiku. They whip up one on air and launch a competition - send them in via fax or email.

Hmmm, I think, and quickly think of one to raise a smile:

A spring in my step
Listening to Jenny although
The world lies between

And just as I hit the send button, I hear:

"I'm expecting some Australian entries, if you're listening, Peter."

I think they're pretty damned cute myself. :) That photo is a couple of months old, so Nell's looking different now of course (she can sit up unsupported and is commando crawling all over the place).

And, yes, Nell started daycare this year and has so far brought home two tummy bugs and one nasty headcold. Pretty impressive rate for 5 weeks worth of care! (And she did share the bugs with us. Gah.)
