Video kills

BBC Shropshire on a Friday, and I do like a surprise, so I didn't tell too many people that I was booked to appear. Then again, LaneyCakes was organising this, and she'd popped off on holiday the first time, and had just disappeared again, so i wasn't entirely sure.

But sure enough to give BookCzuk a yell, just for the pleasure of having her crawl out from under her winter blankets in the frosty morn. (Sorry, dearest, but you I'm not allowed to surprise). i was pretty sure all the regulars would be listening. I love hanging out on chit-Chat, listening to JimOn and cutting wisecracks with Yoko and the rest, who has me howling with laughter.

Themed releases, and I'd done a lot of research, including listing all the books that Peggysmum had released at a lcal supermarket:
Cannery Row in the baked beans
One Two Buckle My Shoe with the summer sneakers
Passion Fruit - guess where.
Pink Vodka Blues in the supermarket grog shop. With the vodkas
Something Fishy in the seafood shop outside the supermarket
Master Butchers Singing Club next to the butchers, and
One Corpse Too Many - and I thought this would appeal to the Shrewsbury folk - in the Christmas hams section.

But no, it was all Christmas themes, and I hadn't done a real lot of research on this, despite JimOn dropping copious hints.

I can't say as that I have a great radio voice. Steve Netstation is superb, but me, I'm flat and quiet. I'm happiest doing the research for someone with a bubblier personality. I can feed facts to CoffeeBron and she can have all the Shropshire lads falling over themselves to sign up.

Or BookCzuk, with the darling Southern accent that she insists she doesn't have. I'm reading the raw draft of her novel, and I am, like in the storm yesterday, just about blown away head of heels at the quality of her NaNo.

It was lovely to hear you today, you have a lovely radio voice. I loved the Jaws themed release. Just nicely nasty - LOL

Wish I could listen. Wish they would broadcast in anything other than Realplayer. I was actually up at 3 am this Friday morning.
