I don't even know if it's physically possible to write 24 000 words in 24 hours.

But although I'm tired and feel like nothing more than curling up in bed, and I've got all manner of minor obligations and chores, there's nothing that can't be put off. I've just had a shower, I've got a cuppa bubbling away, a full load of classic CDs - Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, FSR and all the other greats - and a cheer squad. I know where I'm going, my characters shouldn't have too many surprises for me, and although this is going to be seat of the pants, stream of consciousness stuff, i'm going for it.

Stand by for keyboard meltdown.

Oh yeah. I'll lay off those Turkish apricots. There have been complaints. I put a reference into the novel. Art imitating fart, I suppose.

Doesn't that mean you'll have to write one word every 3.6 seconds during the entire 24 hours?

Of course, I've always sucked royally at math so I could be totally off course. :)

Just in case I'm correct though, I'll send tons of good luck fast writing vibes to you! lol

~pulls out the cheerleading pompoms and jumps about~

"Gooooooooo, Pete!!"

(I have no idea how to advise you about the little apricot problem, since as a refined flower of Southern womanhood, mine always smell like roses. ;-) )

If the first chapter blends in, it counts.

And if you need more cheerers in your crowd: Here I am! Go, Go, Go!

doesn't the site say you can count notes and such written prior to the start in your word count? if the chapter is part of the novel put it in the word a count.
