OK. I've just passed 10 000 words out of the 50 000. Others are thinking of finishing, some have finished, but I've barely begun!

How did this happen? I just looked away and there it was. Ulp!

But I'm going to make a mad dash and a half. I'm counting hours and counting words and dividing one into the other. Not looking good - I've got to write about ten words a minute until the end of the month. And do everything else.

Everything else will have to be a lick and a promise until a week from now.

I've made the journal friends only, not because I'm worried about people reading it, but because I might want to publish it one day.

I'll try to keep up, but if I fall behind in journals and stuff, well, you'll understand?

Good luck! I confess to feeling a little jealous. At this rate I'll be lucky to make 5000 words! I'll keep plugging away though.

I know you'll be busy, but I hope you'll keep us updated.

Good luck! You seem to have written loads from all the SquirtyBertie posts I've seen.

you can do it! Go, go Pete! I don't want to say more as I don't want to distract from your objective (and *don't* answer me!)

But I heard you need some words. Below are some of my favorites:

slapdash
moot
bemoan
hopeful
lollygag (I don't think that spelling is correct)
Bellyaching
swampcooler
supercilious
liaison
francophone
Persephone
wallow
ululate
illustrious
lazy
charity
silly
functional

ok -- gotta go get in the shower. Hope this helps! :)

Oh my! That's a lot of words to cover.

I just finished the NaNoWriMo book and have to admit I was amused and intrigued. I have also been inspired to work on my fantasy series once again.

Good luck...

10 thousand words is nothing to sneeze about! I think the idea of the 30 day novel is exciting and productive but some very good writers (of which I think you are) take a long time to do their work. Keep at it but I daresay I'll enjoy your words no matter how long they took to write.
