Great Day!

More later, like maybe Sunday night.

I'm flat exhausted. Dehydrated, sunburnt, tired and happy.

Peggysmum did the arranging, I just turned up, lugged a few books around and then sat back with a goofy smile as people wander past and picked up a few. i was surrounded by a salesforce led by the amazing Woosang, who messed with people's minds until they shoved bags full of books and left, goofy smiles on their faces.

Superb day. Bright, clear, warm without being hot, light breeze, dry. The park opposite the Belconnen Mall was the site of the Community Festival. A street was blocked off for a stage and a skateboard performance area, jumping castle and first aid tent. There were clowns, jugglers, dancers, singers, kids rolling down grassy slopes, dozens of stalls, facepainting, pavement art and a growing number of books appearing throughout the park and the mall.

Some GREAT books, mainly down to Woosang and Unbalanced. Peggysmum brought Peggy, the amazing well-behaved wonder dog, a perfect angel of a hound compared to my evil-tempered little nervous wreck of a terrier bitch.

Calissa and CoffeeBron turned up in the afternoon once the feeding frenzy had died down and we gradually whittled it down to maybe 100 books from the original thousand.

I'd write more, but I'm up again at three in the morning for the drive to Sydney and I need my rest.

Photographs later.
