Flat out like a lizard drinking

skyringIt's been fifteen years, but over the last couple the complaints from the other side have been getting louder.
I'm talking about the marital couch here. We bought it cheap at a warehouse in Sydney and it's not quite sagged out, but it's not as comfortable as it once was, and I suspect Kerri's bedtime fantasies have been more practical than mine for some time.
So we put those fantasies into operation a week back and assigned Kerri's tax refund to a new bed.
It was delivered today and my new credit card got its first big feed. Latex for Kerri's comfort. Queen size for my comfort - I'm sick of having to hang my heels over the end of a double bed. And a lot higher than the last one. I think I'll have to balance the alarm clock on one of the towering book stacks on the bedside table to see it. It's also got a couple of drawers for storing stuff in. Books, I thought at once, but no, it will be doonas and stuff.
