O, Brother!
Jul. 24th, 2005 11:55 amI listened to all the songs from The Music Man in honour of
rendiru, who is playing a gorgeously-robed "Pick-A-Little" lady in a local production. Local to her, that is, though if she wants to take the show on the road...
Now the random function of RealJukebox is pulling out any number of gems. "Down in the River to Pray" from "O Brother Where Art Thou?"
Yesterday was perfect and I should have gone on my run then. Getting a little cloudy now. Here's a picture of Black Mountain Tower in yesterday's dawn, seen over the roof of my shed.

Date: 2005-07-24 02:30 am (UTC)When I was in the air museum they had some music on and I wondered if it was bluegrass, because that's the only form of country music I really like, and it was. Then yesterday I was looking for bluegrass gigs to get a feel for the music properly (a cat just sat on my foot, btw) and I couldn't remember what that movie was, and here you are, talking about it. I shall have to rent it now.
I love the twangy guitars and the wonderful harmonies.
OMG!!!
