Jason's movies
Jul. 12th, 2005 01:15 pmI've installed the BitTorrent thingy and I'm downloading one of the presentations. The one I reaally want is Lisa Wingate's session, which quite apart from it exhibiting Tzurriz's unique and quirky style as a camerawoman, is probably good for seeing Mojosmom and Lisa interacting in a magical way.
It's running slowly now, and if this is intended as a test of the software for future conventions, then I think it would work, but there would need to be some distribution of further downloads so it gets shared once downloaded and all the load isn't coming off one laptop on a dialup in a hotel room - or is this how P2P works?
Certainly we'd be likely to get hundreds of keen BXers wanting to see events as they unfold.
More useful, perhaps, with an American style convention, where there are a number of set-piece sessions and the camera can be left running continuously. A/NZ conventions tend to be more out in the field, and less structured, so there would probably have to be a certain amount of delay while footage was edited.
But it could be fun. I must look into this.
