A new mobile
Jun. 22nd, 2005 08:12 pmMy old CDMA cell phone charger blew up a month or so back, and as usual I've left it till the last moment to get a new phone. I wanted something i could use overseas, something light and something with a flip top so Kerri could use it. With an hour left before COB I hit the Telstra shop, only to find that their cheapest fliptop was a bit more than I wanted to pay. $30 a month max, thanks!
Quick dash to the one in Civic, selected the model I wanted in a couple of minutes and we then spent the next twenty minutes on hold waiting for Telstra HQ to change some code on my record.
And now I've got a neat little phone with more features than I could possibly use. I guess I'll have to load up all the dongles and software and RTFM. Heaven knows where I'll find the time. This Bluetooth headset is probably a cool feature but it looks like more trouble than I really need.
Still and all, I'll need a phone on the road, and this one I can tuck into a pocket.
