Bilbo Goes Bookabout

skyringI've picked up a young kiwi named Bilbo Kiwiberry and I'm taking him on a quick whip around the world. We went to the New Zealand High Commission (a two story building) and the New Zealand Memorial on Anzac Parade yesterday. I released books at both places (and in Kingston, where I went hunting for six recently-released books).
The Kingston book was caught by someone who had actually checked out the BX site a few weeks earlier. How exciting!
And the Anzac Parade book? I actually saw it being caught! About seven thirty we went for a walk "around the block" and as we approached Anzac Parade from Constitution Avenue, I could see the book lying where I'd left it. A couple were walking down the footpath, and as we came closer, I could see them stop, look at the book, and the young lady picked it up. As we swung past, our little black dog cutting the corner, she opened up the bag and looked at the bookmark and stuff. Last I saw she had the book and was crossing the road with her companion. Now waiting to see if anything happens!
