Well, the other way around, actually. This afternoon there was a knock at the door and there was the postie with a box from America. Yet another eBay purchase I'd forgotten about - a gorgeous Dunoon mug with an old map motif. Almost too good to drink out of.

I cleared the letterbox at the same time and found amongst the adverts and catalogues, a buff envelope with a penguin stamp on the front. Wow! I knew who this was from!

Thanks, Linda! I have the map beside me as I speak, and I'll be able to follow your travels. I'm a sucker for maps as well. In highschool I always like the ability to see what was "over the hill" without actually having to go there. I'd have a street directory open on my lap in the back seat of the family car. And the Army Reserve was heaven on a stick - I was being paid to read maps and give eight figure grid references!

I really loved the note, by the way. Paper and envelope with herbs and ferns embedded in the weave. Awesome! My daughter reckons I get better cards than she does.

Bloody Channel Nine. They say West Wing is going to be on at eleven and then start it at ten thirty. Yesterday I thought I had plenty of time to put a tape in and find the right spot to start recording, but found the blessed thing had been going for some time already. Fairly tense episode, by the look of it.

Tired now. Stayed up all night last night. Near midnight now. Good night!
