A good day on the market. Just about all of our dogs have gone now - only a few still negative. National Australia Bank and Leighton are the two major offenders.
Sold my last Macquarie Bank two days ago and got aboard the ANZ express yesterday morning when i heard a news item about a record profit and a bigger than expected dividend.. That was nice. Probably end up selling them soon as we are overcommitted in banking, but we've had a very good run with them.
Must knuckle down to writing. Had a headache in the arvo and took a few hours off to read a book. Having Kerri wake me at one in the morning with some comments on a mistake she made at work didn't help. She realised that she had told a university researcher some information that was commercial in confidence and was all of a sweat to contact him to tell him that he shouldn't pass it on. Seemed like a pretty minor point to me, but it interrupted my sleep well and truly.
A cockatoo came along in the late afternoon and climbed aboard my bird feeder. Hardly any room and it managed to spill most of the seed doing it, but it was happy to have done it, I guess. Anyway it staid still for a photograph or two. http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/2143890
