Busybee
I was up working from midnight until about four, finishing off Port Arthur and moving into Hobart. Somewhere I've got a book about Port Arthur, but I don't know where it is, so I had to get something similar from the library yesterday to check a few details.
Managed to get it finished without ranting too much against the idiots who think the massacre was some sort of government plot.
Installed a beta copy of SQL Server 2005 yesterday, picked up at the local user group meeting. See my other blog for more, but I'm impressed with what I see so far. Wish I had more time to explore it.
Installed a couple of fresh demos of Photoshop and Acrobat. Need one to draw up the cover, the other to create a PDF for upload to Lulu.
I won't say that I'm anywhere close to halfway, but if I stick to it I'll get it done in time for the convention. Maybe in a week or so I'll upload some draft chapters for comment.
I'll adopt a different strategy this time around. Individual draft chapters will be free, but the finished product won't be. I've come up with a nice Bookcrossing subtitle for the book as well.
More later, but I'm needing to write and research fairly intensively at the moment. Luckily Kerri is going back to work on Monday, so I won't have quite as many distractions.
